The Unsolved Disappearance of Jennifer Kesse

The investigation was taken over by a young woman’s family when they felt the police failed to do their job.

Jennifer Kesse, age 24, was a young woman who had a full life to look forward to with everything going for her. She graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida and landed a career where she flourished. She worked as a finance manager at a well-known timeshare company where she received two promotions within a year.

Jennifer grew up in a supportive and loving family that maintained a close relationship with one another. However, it was time for her spread her wings so she purchased a condominium in a complex known as the Mosaic at Millenia in Orlando, Florida.

On the night of January 23, 2006, Jennifer spent the evening chatting with her parents on the phone as she often liked to do with them. Before she went to bed for the night at 10:00 p.m. she spoke to her boyfriend, Rob Allen, who lived three hours away in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Missing

On the morning of January 24, 2006, Jennifer didn’t arrive at work as expected which caused concern for her employers. It wasn’t like Jennifer to not come into work without contacting someone to let them know as she was known to be a responsible employee. Her employers reached out to her family to let them know she hadn’t arrived at work so they could check on her.

Jennifer’s parents, Drew and Joyce Kesse, arrived at her condominium at noon to look for her, but she wasn’t there. When they approached her home they found the door to her unit was locked tight and upon opening it found the condominium to be intact.

Jennifer’s parents found a damp towel by the shower indicating she had been in the condominium that morning and must have gotten ready for work. They noticed her purse, briefcase, phone, and iPod were missing so they felt Jennifer must have left home. Her black Chevy Malibu was also missing from the parking lot and they believed she had the car with her, but still couldn’t get ahold of Jennifer.

The family began to worry for her safety and contacted the Orlando Police Department to report Jennifer as a missing person. The…
