Is Discovery + Worth the Money?

I’ll admit when I first heard the Discovery line of channels was going to offer a new streaming service in late January 2021 I was more than irritated. Just how many streaming services does one person need? Plus, I already pay for all of the regular Discovery family of networks through my regular cable service.

I had this sneaking feeling that Discovery was going to start removing new episodes of my favorite shows from cable and moving them to their new streaming service. Turns out I wasn’t wrong and that is exactly what happened. No doubt, I was even more irritated.

After reading through multiple social media posts on Discovery’s Facebook page and the Facebook pages of my favorite Discovery personalities I quickly found I was not alone in my frustration. But, if I wanted to watch new episodes of my favorite shows I was going to have to bite the bullet and subscribe to the service. So that’s what I did!

So is Discovery + worth the money? Yes! That is if you are like me and often find yourself watching one of the many networks that fall under the Discovery family of networks which include: Discovery + Originals, HGTV, FOOD Network, TLC, Discovery ID, OWN, TRVL Channel, Magnolia Network, Discovery, Planet Earth, Animal Planet, A&E, History Channel, Lifetime, Science Channel, DYI Network, Cooking Channel, The Dodo, Popsugar, Now This, Seeker, Thrillist, Destination America, AHC, and Discovery Life.
